Dave Cunningham started his career as a professional photographer in 1978 while teaching physics and photography in Albemarle County schools. After working for several local studios, Dave and his wife Sylvia established Cunningham Photography in the Spring of 1981.
Dave holds masters degrees from UVA in both chemistry and education. His thirst for knowledge and pursuit of excellence in photography has led him to continue studies by regularly attending photography conventions and workshops across the country. Dave has also studied with seven of the nation's top master photographers. His dedication to his craft shows through in the outstanding quality of his images

About Our Studio
Our studio is located in a quiet, wooded residential setting with ideal light for outdoor.environmental portraiture. Ours is the only truly indoor/outdoor studio in the area. The studio is well equipped to photograph babies, children and families, brides, high school seniors, business portraits and of course pets.
